Hi everyone, at this point my Research and Development brief has come to a close, within the oast few days I managed to finalize my dragon, present my work and hand it all in. It has been a super busy week.
Although i have not gotten back my overall grade, i am very happy to report that i was able to achieve a max grade on my presentation and hopefully this mark will help me achieve the 1:1 that i want. The presentation was a success, I was able to both present my research and artwork within the given time limit which was 12 minutes. I think I finished my presentation at around the 11.45 minute mark, so i was cutting it close.
Overall this has been an amazing project, and it has definite been one of my favorites throughout my years of education. I have learned so many new skills and processes that at this point it seems shocking to me that i was able to do it. When it comes to my University work I do not usually like to show my work, i like to sit down in my own space and just get on with it. However, although this brief has taught me new skills. It has also made me more confident as a person. Every week I was checking in my my tutors and fellow students to ask what i could improve to ensure that my work was at the best level that it could be and i believe that it reflects within my work.
Next week i will begin my next brief which i believe is 'Experimental Animation.' I dont know what new challenged this project has to offer, but when i begin next week i will let you all know. But for now, i am taking a well earned brake by playing some Destiny and eating pizza. Ill see you all next week.
P.S. You can see below that i was able to finish my dragon in time and I was even able to add some additional effects within Photoshop to bring the character to life, I hope you all love him as much as I loved creating him.
