Presentation Review and Beginning a New Project:

Hi everyone, at this point my Research and Development brief has come to a close, within the oast few days I managed to finalize my dragon, present my work and hand it all in. It has been a super busy week. Although i have not gotten back my overall grade, i am very happy to report that i was able to achieve a max grade on my presentation and hopefully this mark will help me achieve the 1:1 that i want. The presentation was a success, I was able to both present my research and artwork within the given time limit which was 12 minutes. I think I finished my presentation at around the 11.45 minute mark, so i was cutting it close.  Overall this has been an amazing project, and it has definite been one of my favorites throughout my years of education. I have learned so many new skills and processes that at this point it seems shocking to me that i was able to do it. When it comes to my University work I do not usually like to show my work, i like to sit down in my own space and ju...

Research and Developmnet - Research, Part 4

3D modeling- Hulk Going back to 3D modeling I was researching the 2003 Hulk which I found some interesting stuff I had to add. The set had multiple problems with modeling the hulk in 3D as blender was not as great as its today so their solution was to create a clay sculpture and scan it into a blender. this ensured that his vision was perfect and they also scanned Eric Bana (the actor) to aid with designing the hulk and the transformation scenes.  I was fascinated by this as it confused me at first why they had these issues but after finding that it was because 3D software was not at its peak. ZBrush was still in development but if they had access to this software I believe that they would not have run into this problem but the way they solved it is interesting and it's just making me want to 3D scan and print even more. unfortunately, I don't think ill be able to 3D scan in this unit but its something I will keep in mind.
