Risograph Printing the Ink Pot:

Well everyone, its been a super busy few weeks but I am almost done. Yesterday i was able to bring my ink pot frames and hand them over to my tutor to print. Unfortunately I do not have any images to show you just yet as they are currently in the hands of my tutor, but as soon as i have them I will update the post. It was an amazing day! I was able to witness how these printers work, and they are truly remarkable. Considering the Riso printer only prints a selection of colors, the artwork that you can produce using the select limit of colors is remarkable. In my last post I ended by saying that I needed to choose a new color pallet for Ink pot, I decided to go with pink and yellow as when these colors overlay they will produce an orange and I think for my design that will have a unique and interesting aesthetic. Next week is my hand in for the project so I may not have any posts until then as i need to wrap up the last sections of my work. But until then I hope you enjoy the new color pallet of my Ink Pot character! See you all then!!!

P.S. The current picture my show the inkpot as pink and green however the risograph version is pink and yellow

These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
