This week, or class was presented with a new brief. This brief focuses around VFX and requires us to research into different VFX companies and use the knowledge that we acquire to create a series of VFX experiments. In my years of education I have only ever had one opportunity to create a VFX project and although it could have been a lot better, it was a decent first try. Throughout this project I am going to try reacquaint myself with the techniques that I used for VFX shot that I already created and hopefully learn some new skills and processes too. In the next few weeks you will hopefully see my skills develop in the field of VFX. I am going to begin by researching into various VFX industries such as Framestore, MILK VFX and Industrial Light and Magic. Hopefully, if I can understand the processes and workflows that they take to create the many VFX shots that they have created it will be a great first step into creating a series of convincing VFX shots.

The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
