Film Learnin (Youtube Channel):

Film Learnin is YouTube channel that I found whilst researching into methods of how to create the Flashes Lightening effect, and lucky for me, Film Learnin has covered multiple methods of how to approach this subject. In fact Film Learnin seems to be dedicated into creating almost every super hero effect seen on television known to man. The sheer amount of YouTube videos that demonstrate how to convey superhero effects is unbelievable. He has even created demonstrations of how to recreate the Flashes movements from the Justice League movie. The movements that the Flash has in the movie are completely different from the TV show but are still unique and interesting. Film Learnin also has a fun personality, he to create mini sketches within his videos showing the effects that he is about to demonstrate. He is a great Youtube creator and if you haven't heard of him Id recommend giving him a watch if your interested in VFX. Using Film Learnin's YouTube channel I would be able to learn various techniques used within the VFX industry and apply these to multiple different VFX experiments. Although, I will be continuing my other research, I am definitely going to be referring back to Film Learnin to see what new experiments I could try.

These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
