Over the past week I have been watching Film Learnin's endless VFX tutorials in aims to understand the workflows that are used. I also watched his 'Flash Running Effect' to try replicate the process myself within After Effects and I believe that I have achieved this. Below you can see that I was able to create an entrance and exit using the lightening effects. This is a process that took a long time to achieve and I am not entirely sure that I would be able to describe my processes even if I tried. However, I will leave the link to the video that I followed below. Thanks to Film Learnin I was able to successfully create my first VFX experiment, and I am very happy with the results. Using the Footage that I previously recorded I was able to us the multiple effects that Film Learnin provided and create my own iteration of the Flashes movements. This experiment has enthused me to create a few more (at least one more) experiment using the demonstrations that Film Learnin has provided on his YouTube channel. The next experiment that I want to try is the Flashes movements from the Justice League movie. Usually I would not create two experiments that relate to each other, but the movements between the Flash in the movie and TV are completely diverse and I wanted to try them both. Over the next week I intend to record some more footage, study Film Learnin's tutorial and hopefully create my own iteration of the Flashes movements from the Justice League movie.
Over the past week i have made significant progress throughout both of my chosen subjects, Zbrush and Pixel art. Ad for my pixel art characters, i have decided to create three characters that are all completely different from each other. These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
