This is my second VFX experiment that I have created for my project and again it all thanks to the knowledge that I gained from Film Learnin's YouTube channel. This experiment was a lot harder to create. Unlike the last flash experiment I had to incorporate a lot more of my own effects to try and make the scene more believable. This shot has went through many different iterations but this is the final version (I do not think I have any brain power left to create another version). I think I have rendered this scene around five times to try find the perfect balance of effects. However, although it took a lot of time and brain power I was able to create a new VFX experiment that I was proud of. You can even see that I added a VHS overlay to present the idea that I am testing out my new powers. Considering this project took so long I began to create a narrative to keep myself entertained. This experiment was tough, but it was also incredibly fun! Yes, there was challenges, but I really enjoyed customizing the effects to better suit my scene. This experiment was definitely a step up from the last experiment but I am perfectly fine with that. Each experiment is supposed to test my limits and skills, and so far...they have. I have time to create one more experiment within this project and intend for it to be completely different from the last two that I have created. I want to try push myself a little further within this project and this next experiment is aimed to do just that. Overall I had fun creating this experiment and if you want to follow the tutorial that I used then the link is below. Hopefully by next week I will have made progress with my new experiment, or I may have even finished it. Only time will tell. I will see you all then!
Over the past week i have made significant progress throughout both of my chosen subjects, Zbrush and Pixel art. Ad for my pixel art characters, i have decided to create three characters that are all completely different from each other. These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
