VFX Hand in (FINISHED)

Today I successfully handed in my VFX project. The past few days have been surprisingly calm, nothing went wrong. I just sat and organised all my work into sketchbooks and digital folders. It was very rewarding going through all my work and seeing what I created and I am very proud of what I was able to achieve. The next project is the last project of year 2 and I need give it everything I have! This year so far has been amazing, I have been achieving the grades that I want and creating work that I have always wanted to create. This VFX protect has definitely been one of the highlight of this year so far, as a massive gamer and fan of super heroes, being able to create these VFX experiments has been a dream come true. Although there was many challenged that was presented within this brief, it was still extraordinarily fun. I hope you all enjoyed following me on this journey and I hope you will stay with me for the next. I also have to give a big thanks to my girlfriend who kindly sat recorded all the footage. Collectively I think we recorded about 30 shots, most that where just failed iterations that you see now. Now that I have handed in I am going to start preparing for the next brief. I believe the next brief is 'Digital Storytelling' so im going to begin by looking into industry workflows that relate to narrative based animations. But until then I am going to jump on Doom and destroy some demons. I hope you all enjoy your weekend and ill see you next week for a new brief!

P.S. Below is the show reel that I handed in for VFX brief as I though you have wanted to see all my work that you have seen already, compiled together in one video. I hope you all enjoy it!

Ad for my pixel art characters, i have decided to create three characters that are all completely different from each other. These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
