Story Telling Brief: Final Piece Progress 2

Over the past week I have been gathering multiple models from the drop box that the Destiny community provided. However, after I downloaded all these files, I realized that there was an issue, all of the files were Blender files. Blender is an industry used 3D software. This is a software that I have never used before, fortunatly Blender is also a free software, therefore I was able to download it and experiment around with the UI and new tools before beginning my animation. The UI is very different from Maya, (my primarily used 3D software), however the tools where all there. It took me some time learning all the new shortcuts and tool locations, but when I did I was good to go. Additionally, over the past week, I was also to create a narrative for my animation. I want tell a story of an Astronaut that is lost in space and there is an incoming threat that endangers him. I chose this narrative as it would be both creepy and visually stunning. I was very excited to begin my project so I began importing models and repositioning them to a starter pose that I was happy with. Luckily there was also a Destiny version of an Astronaut so I was able to use this model within my project work. Below is simply the first render. Over the next few weeks I will be continuously building new scenes, animating my character and trying to finalize this animation. Due to the sheer amount of work that I need to do, My blog posts may be a little more spread out than usual, but I will try my very best to maintain regular and steady posts.

Pixel Art and Zbrush Dragon Progress Update:

Over the past week i have made significant progress throughout both of my chosen subjects, Zbrush and Pixel art. Ad for my pixel art characters, i have decided to create three characters that are all completely different from each other. These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
