Story Telling Brief: Adrift (FINAL)

Well everyone, I have finally finished! This animation took such a long time to make but it was a truly remarkable experience! This has been my favorite project so far, for both years! I have been able to merge my passion for gaming with my project work and it has been incredibly fun! My hand in is only a few days away now, and all that left to do is touch up my development work. I have definitely left by development work on the back burner, an although I have a lot of catching up to do, this animation made it all worth it. I cannot describe the amount of fun I have had creating this animation! Not only have I learned some new techniques regarding post production software, rendering and animation, but I have also learned a new 3D programme, Blender. Blender is a great 3D programme, I never thought I would be able to move away from Maya but Blender offers new features that I have never even heard of. Everything that I have wished to achieve in Maya, I have achieved in Blender. I am remarkable proud of what I was able to create  this project and I truly hope you all enjoy the final animation. I was finally able to come up with a name for the animation so I hope you all enjoy new animation, Adrift!

I will see you all next week!

These three characters will resemble my fire team form the game destiny, Me and my two friends. The character below is my character and you can see that although it is pixel art, it shares no characteristics from the last design, they are all going to be completely different and i cannot wait to see how all three compare to each other once they are finished. As for my dragon, i was able to add a lot more detail to both the horns and face. I even added an additional two horns to bring the character more to life and give him a more interesting silhouette. As you can see the character also has antlers and wisps coming from his chin, this was heavily inspired from Haku the white dragon from the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away.' Although I te...
